HYDERABAD: A division bench comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J Anil Kumar has issued notices to chief secretary and others directing them to file counter-affidavits within four weeks, furnishing reasons for not implementing vocationalisation of education under Samagra Shiksha in
Telangana.
Notices were issued to the principal secretary to govt, school education department, project director, Telangana Samagra Shiksha State Project, and the govt of India, represented by secretary,
ministry of education, department of school education and literacy, Delhi.
The bench was adjudicating a PIL filed by social worker Kora Aravind of Sangareddy, seeking directions to the govt of India and the state govt to implement the Samagra Shiksha programme in proper timeframe as per the guidelines and by following the due process as mandated by the department of school education. Counsel for the petitioner informed the court that the state govt was not implementing the Samagra Shiksha programme in a proper manner.
